State Inquiries

ICP established contacts and sent printed questionnaires to the governor's office of each state and relevant government departments or agencies. The questionnaire sent to the governor's office asked about: the state's action plans to end homelessness; state legislation that affects opportunities for homeless families; state data collection on homeless families; and state programs and agencies that serve homeless families. The questionnaire sent to state departments and agencies requested information about each agency's organization, budget, and outreach to homeless families. Once the organizations and offices completed the questionnaires, ICP assembled and examined the responses. The National Survey state snapshots present the information gathered from these sources, providing a brief portrait of each state's commitment to ending family homelessness.
